Club Update - Jan 2012

Last year went well for club and the support was good which means the Club is safe for another year. Our charity night in November2011 raised £900 for the “Poppy Appeal” which was good considering the way the economy is at this time, we had a new influence behind the charity night last year and that was Debbie Ballard and her partner Arthur this was to replace Debbie’s Father Pete Hooper who has been involved with his wife Jean from the beginning 11yrs ago without that team it would not have been so successful. I would like to thank all the people behind the scenes that do so much for Pardners without them we could not run.

2011 has been a difficult year for Suzy and I with Suzy fighting Kidney Cancer but with support of the members of the club and our friends with have come through, the Op was successful and hopefully the ongoing treatment will help. We went away for some sun at Christmas and that made all the difference to Suzy and now she is back to her old self “keeping me in check” again we have to thank Jean & Pete Hooper for running the club for us during those difficult times, thanks again everyone.

2012 We have some great acts booked for you, starting with Steve Cherelle in Jan, our charity night this year is November 10th and if you watch our website and we are now on face book to see who the acts are. 2012 is also our 19th year of running the club and we are still their when many clubs folded for various reasons.
